Vegas is built for short stays — but finding the right day-use hotel is tricky. We rank the cheapest Las Vegas hourly hotels on the Strip, downtown, and off-Strip, with real rates and booking tips.
Vegas is the easiest US city for hourly hotels
Las Vegas has more day-use hotel inventory per capita than any US city. The combination of 24-hour tourism, massive room counts (the average Strip mega-resort has 3,000+ rooms), and convention traffic means Vegas hotels are uniquely willing to rent rooms by the hour. Weekday day-use rates start as low as $29 for a 3-hour block at off-Strip properties; mid-Strip properties start at $40.
The catch: Vegas day-use availability evaporates on weekends, during major conventions (CES in January, Magic in August, SEMA in November), and during major sporting events (F1 Las Vegas Grand Prix in November, Super Bowl when hosted). Weekday-only is the rule, not the exception.
Cheapest Strip day-use hotels
Best Western Plus Casino Royale (Central Strip)
One of the cheapest properties on the Strip. Day-use rates from $40 for 3 hours. Basic but clean, with free parking (rare on the Strip) and a casino on site. Walking distance to Venetian, Mirage, and Treasure Island. Strong value for budget travelers.
The LINQ Hotel + Experience (Central Strip)
Caesars Entertainment property with reliable day-use rates from $55 for 4 hours. Central Strip location walking distance to Linq Promenade, High Roller, and Harrah's. Pool with cabanas available. Weekday only.
Best downtown / Fremont day-use hotels
Downtown Grand Hotel & Casino
Stylish downtown boutique with rooftop pool overlooking Fremont Street. Day-use rates from $65 for 4 hours. One of the few Vegas properties offering day-use 7 days a week. Walkable to Container Park, Mob Museum, and Fremont Street Experience.
Golden Nugget Las Vegas
Classic downtown property with a famous pool (with a real shark tank water slide). Day-use rates from $75 for 4 hours. Reserve 48 hours ahead; weekend inventory limited.
Best off-Strip budget options
Hampton Inn & Suites Las Vegas Airport
Three minutes from Harry Reid International with free 24-hour shuttle. Day-use rooms from $45 for 4 hours. Free breakfast, outdoor pool, free Wi-Fi. Strong choice for late-arriving or early-departing flights.
Boulder Highway properties (East of Strip)
Several independent properties along Boulder Highway offer 4-hour blocks from $29–$45. These are basic but clean and perfect for a quick rest between gambling sessions or before a late flight. Examples include Eastside Cannery, Sam's Town, and Boulder Station.
What to expect at a Vegas day-use hotel
Vegas day-use rooms are the same rooms you'd book overnight — same beds, same square footage, same amenities. The only difference is the time window. You will not be marked as a 'day-use guest' in any way; the front desk treats you identically to overnight guests. Resort fees (typically $35–$55/day) usually apply to day-use bookings — always check the total price before confirming.
Pool access varies. The Cosmopolitan, LINQ, and Strat include pool access in their day-use rate. Mega-resorts like Bellagio, Wynn, and Venetian typically charge $30–$75 extra for pool access even with a day-use room. Always confirm at booking.
How to get the cheapest Vegas day-use rate
Three rules: (1) Book Tuesday or Wednesday — these are the slowest days and have the most day-use availability. (2) Compare the hotel's direct website against Agoda and Booking.com — Vegas hotels often run exclusive day-use promos direct. (3) Skip the resort fee by booking properties without one (Eastside Cannery, Best Western Casino Royale, Hampton Inn Airport) — this saves $35–$55 per booking.
