Our mission
HourlyHotels.com was founded in 2024 with a simple observation: the modern traveler rarely needs 24 hours of hotel room. Business travelers need a place to freshen up between meetings. Cruise passengers need a room for the awkward hours between disembarkation and an evening flight. Long-layover passengers need a few hours of sleep. Digital nomads need a quiet room with strong Wi-Fi for a half-day of deep work.
Yet until recently, the only option was to pay for a full overnight stay — wasting 60–80% of the value. Day-use hotels have existed in Europe for over a decade, but the inventory is fragmented across dozens of booking sites and direct hotel websites, making it hard to compare prices or find reliable options in an unfamiliar city.
That's the problem we solve. We curate day-use hotel inventory across 10 US and EU cities, hand-vet every property, and surface live rates from four major booking sites (Agoda, Booking.com, Hotels.com, and Trip.com) on every hotel card. You pick the room, you pick the booking site, you book direct with the partner — we just help you find the right room at the right price.
How we choose hotels
Every property in our catalog is hand-vetted against four criteria: (1) the hotel must offer explicit day-use rates with a minimum 3-hour block; (2) the hotel must be a major-brand property (Hilton, Marriott, Hyatt, Accor, IHG) or a vetted boutique with 100+ verified reviews on Booking.com; (3) the hotel must offer the same amenities to day-use guests as overnight guests (Wi-Fi, fitness center, business center); (4) the hotel must have a transparent cancellation policy on day-use rates.
We do not list unbranded independent properties with limited online reviews. We do not list properties that have changed ownership in the past 12 months. We re-audit our catalog quarterly.
How we make money
HourlyHotels.com is an affiliate site. When you click a booking link on our site and complete a reservation with one of our partners, we earn a small commission from the booking site — at no extra cost to you. The commission comes out of the booking site's margin, not your wallet. You pay the same price whether you find the hotel through us or directly on the booking site.
Our current affiliate partners include Agoda, Booking.com, Hotels.com, Expedia, Trip.com, HotelLook, Klook, GetYourGuide, Kiwi.com, WayAway, and Kiwitaxi — all via the Travelpayouts affiliate network. We are also applying to Dayuse.com and HotelsByDay for direct partnerships.
Affiliate disclosure (FTC compliant)
This disclosure is provided in compliance with U.S. Federal Trade Commission guidelines on affiliate marketing. HourlyHotels.com participates in the Travelpayouts affiliate network and earns commissions when users click links on this site and complete bookings with our partner brands. These brands include Agoda, Booking.com, Hotels.com, Expedia, Trip.com, HotelLook, Klook, GetYourGuide, Kiwi.com, WayAway, and Kiwitaxi. We may add additional partners in the future.
The commissions we earn do not increase the price you pay. Booking sites set their prices independently, and the price you see on the partner site after clicking our link is the same price you would see if you had navigated directly to that site. We do not have access to your booking details, payment information, or personal data — the booking transaction happens entirely between you and the partner site.
We do not accept paid placements. Hotel ordering on city pages is determined by our editorial judgment (typically luxury, business, airport, budget, boutique). Featured hotels on the homepage are rotated based on seasonal relevance and booking popularity. We never accept payment to move a hotel up in the rankings.
Editorial independence
Our hotel descriptions, neighborhood picks, and FAQs are written by our editorial team and reviewed quarterly. We do not allow affiliate partners to review or edit our content. If a partner disagrees with our description of their property, we will correct factual errors but will not change subjective assessments.

We do not collect personally identifiable information about you unless you choose to subscribe to our newsletter or contact us directly. We use privacy-focused analytics (Plausible) that do not use cookies. We do not sell or share your data with third parties. Read our full privacy policy.
Our team
HourlyHotels.com is a small, independent project run by a distributed team based in the US and Europe. We are not owned by any hotel chain, booking site, or travel conglomerate. Our independence is the foundation of our editorial integrity — we recommend hotels because we believe they are good options for day-use bookings, not because anyone paid us to recommend them.
